I recently requested critique on my art on a FB art page. Besides being told that people don’t want portraits, I was also told that my colors might be too bright and aggressive for some people and encouraged to use a more neutral palette. So-o-o . . . STILL LIFES in NEUTRAL COLORS. This is four pieces of black pottery in varying shapes and sizes on a subtly-patterned background of taupe—can’t get more neutral than that!
