Fuyuko is a Japanese woman’s name meaning “winter child”. I gave the geisha in this portrait that name because of the red and green and white and metallic gold colors (winter or Christmas colors) I used to create this very stylized version of a geisha in winter.

I earned a degree in theater from the U. of Wisconsin, an additional degree, summa cum laude, in fashion design from FIDM/Los Angeles, and turned to creating art seriously in 2014 upon retiring from jobs in office administration and free time spent dancing, singing and acting.
