This is a portrait of my son back in 1981. The title is a "family joke." We were trying to get him into modeling and commercials. He was taken to an audition for a Cheerios commercial, where he was supposed to eat some Cheerios and then say he liked them. Unfortunately, he DID NOT like Cheerios and refused to say the line! Thus endeth a budding career in commercials for that darling face! (By the way, he still hates Cheerios!)
I create whimsical, graphic, stylized, often Asian-inspired & sometimes jeweled or embellished interpretations of people, animals, ethnic subjects, objects/still lifes. Art, like life, should SPARKLE! I sign my work 'SOMOGYI' the ethnically-correct version of my Hungarian surname, and I often incorporate my signature into the design of the art itself. Great story! So cute! I went to work with Dad one day at his radio station job in the days of commercials being read live by the host and when "Uncle Bill" cued me with "And when Barbie is thirsty she always asks her parents for a Pepsi, don't you?" I said "No! I like Coke!"
