This is a portrait of an icon of the 1960's, fashion model Penelope Tree, known for her waif-like face and huge eyes which were always adorned with over-sized upper and lower lashes. One of my artistic goals is to present and preserve history by portraying anonymous or famous figures from current or past times that typify their particular culture and time in history.
